Former Garfield pizza deliveryman charged with molesting second child

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Mexican national living in Garfield originally charged with molesting an 11-year-old girl did the same to a 7-year-old boy — and left the younger child alone with the older one for nearly a month, an indictment returned in Hackensack alleges.

Eduardo Romero also exposed the children to “narcotic paraphernalia, CDS, and open containers of alcohol,” the indictment charges.

Members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit and Garfield police arrested Romero on March 10 on charges of sexually assaulting the girl between the end of last October the beginning of this year after being notified by the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P).

He posted $100,000 bail on April 25 and was released pending trial.

Romero, a pizza deliverman, also assaulted the boy and left the children alone, grand jurors charged in the indictment returned last week.
