A Hackensack FAST unit joined firefighters from Englewood, Bogota and Ridgefield Park in assisting as the 8:50 a.m. call quickly escalated to three alarms and those inside evacuated.

The bulk of the fire had been knocked down within 45 minutes, although efforts continued well past that.

Responders included the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps, which transported four firefighters to the hospital with minor injuries.
