Fair Lawn crash sends Jeep onto lawn, both drivers to hospital

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A crash in Fair Lawn this afternoon sent both drivers to Hackensack University Medical Center by ambulance with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision at the intersection of Plaza Road and Raphael Street just before 2 o’clock sent a Jeep onto a lawn, where it hit a tree.

Debris from the tree hit a nearby home, causing minor damage.

Airbags deployed on both vehicles, which were towed from the scene.

Fair Lawn police and EMS workers responded.

Plaza Road was closed in both directions between Raphael Street and Watkins Avenue while both victims were being tended to and the wreckage and debris removed.
