Ex-boyfriend charged in stabbing at Hackensack laundry

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: One man was in serious but stable condition, another was under arrest and a 15-year-old who tried to intervene was being treated after a stabbing at a Hackensack laundry tonight.

A woman was with her new husband, her 14-year-old son and his 15-year-old son at the Bubbles Laundromat on Sussex Street and Railroad Avenue when he ex of two years ago came in around 7:30, Hackensack Police Director Michael Mordaga told CLIFFVIEW PILOT tonight.

An argument ensued before the ex-boyfriend was chased off by the 39-year-old husband. But he returned with a knife less than a minute later and attacked him, Mordaga said.

The older son tried to help the victim and was cut on his hand. The father was stabbed in the chest and abdomen, he said.

Patrolman Anthony Duardo was there in an instant and took the alleged assailant into custody.

The knife was recovered, as well, Mordaga told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Both victims were taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, he said.

Carlos Victoriano, 27, of Kennedy Boulevard and 17th Street in Jersey City was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and illegal weapons possession, and ordered held on $125,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
