Roxanne Hewitt, 34, has remained held on $200,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail since her arrest on April 23.
“My client denies any wrongdoing and denies that the alleged incident occurred,” defense attorney Ron Bar-Nadav told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
Authorities at the time accused her of “engaging in inappropriate sexual activity” with the boy without elaborating.
The boy was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, then “described to [detectives] them in detail the sexual acts Hewitt had engaged him in the day before,” Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said at the time.
The five-count indictment charges her with two first-degree counts of aggravated sexual assault involving oral sex, one of sexual assault — for allegedly touching the boy’s penis — and one of impairing or debauching the morals of a minor.
It also charges her with one count of assaulting the sheriff’s corrections officer in the performance of his duties on Aug. 1.
