In addition to weapons possession, 53-year-old Tarita Mitchell of Rockcreek Terrace is charged in the indicment with using a minor to commit second-degree aggravated assault.

One of the girls had been slashed on the neck and back with a box cutter during the July 2 fight on Katherine Street near Tryon Avenue when police arrived, Police Chief Lawrence Suffern said at the time.

She was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center.

Juvenile complaints of attempted murder and two counts each of aggravated assault and illegal weapons possession were signed against Mitchell’s daughter, Suffern said.

She was treated at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center for an injury before being taken to the county juvenile detention center on a juvenile complaint alleging attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons possession.

Both weapons were recovered, the chief said.

Mitchell remained free on $82,500 bail, posted three days after her arrest.
