Juan Corea-Calderon, who pleaded guilty to impairing or debauching the morals of a child, will then be deported, as mandated under federal law.

In exchange for his plea in Hackensack, Bergen County prosecutors dismissed an original,  more serious charge of first-degree aggravated sexual assault on a minor.

Corea-Calderon is scheduled to be sentenced on March 22, 2014 after being evaluated at the Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Avenel, where he will also be treated during his sentence.

Meanwhile, an INS detainer keeps him in the Bergen County Jail even if he makes his $250,000 bail.

Corea-Calderon was arrested on March 22, 2012 by Englewood police and investigators from the county prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit after being alerted by the state Division of Child Permanency and Placement (then known as the Division of Youth and Family Services).

The agency was alerted by the child’s family, authorities said.
