Emergency workers rush to save semi-conscious Ridgewood man, 92, who fell, crawled

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: Emergency workers rushed to save a 92-year-old Ridgewood man who collapsed while trying to crawl to a neighbor’s house this afternoon after he slipped and fell on ice while getting his mail.

Ridgewood police firefighters and EMS units who rushed to the 300 block of South Van Dien Avenue along with a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital following a 911 call worked quickly after finding the semi-conscious victim.

They didn’t know how long the man had been lying there.

After stabilizing him, they took him by ambulance to the trauma center at Hackensack University Medical Center. His condition couldn’t be determined late this afternoon.
