Elmwood Park police make separate drug arrests in less than 90 minutes

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Elmwood Park police seized 25 bags of heroin, two bags of crack and prescription drugs while separately arresting two men, one of whom was wanted on warrants out of Hackensack and Fair Lawn.

Eugene Bertolacci, 31, of Northvale was being held on a combined $4,750 bail in the Bergen County Jail following his arrest at 3:15 p.m. yesterday on Iozia Terrace for heroin and crack possession.

Less than 90 minutes later, Police Chief Michael Foligno said, officers stopped 38-year-old Thomas Adam of Elmwood Park on Market Street and found him carrying 10 bags of heroin and the prescription drugs. Adam was released with a court summons charging him with possession of both.
