Elmwood Park police drug crackdown leads to arrests, seizures of Molly, heroin, pot, cocaine

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A series of investigations over the past three months by the Elmwood Park Police Narcotics Enforcement Unit produced four arrests of people from different towns who authorities said were caught with a variety of drugs.

One of those arrested Friday night, 19-year-old Elmwood Park resident Bashir Alkabouni, was charged with possessing with the intent to distribute seven grams of Molly (MDMA) and an ounce of marijuana after being stopped on River Drive. He was turned over to Clifton police on a warrant.

David Burgos, 35, of Kearny, also was charged with having seven ounces of MDMA with the intent to distribute both it and eight grams of cocaine after being stopped on East 53rd Street.

Garrett Mills, 32, of Hackensack, was charged with carrying 10 bags of heroin after he was stopped on Locust Street.

Dariana Pajuelo-Gonzalez, 24, of Fort Lee, was arrested on Market Street at Midland Avenue on charges of having three ounces of pot for sale.

She was released on a summons, as were Burgos and Mills.
