Maintenance worker Manuel J. Zumba Chably, 36, and 19-year-old factory worker Edwin Sangorima were being held on $125,000 bail each following their arrests on Saturday by detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and city police.

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced the arrests separately this afternoon after they were reported earlier in CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

In each case, he said, “[t]he victim told a school counselor what had occurred and she contacted the Hackensack Police Department who then notified the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.

“Arrangements were made for the victim to be interviewed by detectives from the Special Victims Unit and the Hackensack Police Department at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus,” Molinelli said. “During that interview, the victim provided specific details regarding what had taken place….”

The prosecutor didn’t say whether the same 14-year-old boy was the alleged victim in each.

Arraignments were set for Wednesday in Central Municipal Court in Hackensack.
