DWI Hackensack Driver In Crash Hospitalized With Broken Arm, Leg

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A 45-year-old driver was drunk when he crashed his car in Hackensack before dawn Thursday, police said.

Firefighters extricated the city man after the crash, just after 2 a.m. in the 300 block of Euclid Avenue, said Capt. Francesco Aquila, the officer in command of the department.

He was taken Hackensack University Medical Center with a broken left arm and leg and possible internal injuries, the captain said.

Police charged him with DWI and issued him summonses for traffic violations, Aquila said.
