Driver injured in head-on Washington Township crash

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: The 30-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe sustained minor injuries in a head-on crash into a tree on Pascack Road in Washington Township before noon today.

The township resident was driving south near East Glen Avenue when the crash occurred.

Washington Township firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free her.

The Westwood Volunteer Ambulance Corps then took her to Hackensack University Medical Center.

Township police closed Pascack Road in both directions until the scene was cleared.

The vehicle and crash-related debris was removed from the scene by flatbed tow truck.

Township police are investigating the cause.
