A source said the pair apparently had been at Applebee’s in Hackensack and just crossed the Teaneck border when the car went airborne and slammed into the telephone pole near River Road just after 1 a.m.

Teaneck police and firefighters responded.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Fatal Accident Unit was investigating.
