Driver, 92, plows sedan into Saddle Brook McDonalds front entrance

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A 92-year-old driver threw it into drive instead of reverse today and plowed his 13-year-old sedan through the front door of a McDonalds on Route 46 in Saddle Brook this morning, leaving a 20-foot skid mark in the parking lot.

The 2000 Mercury Marquis came barreling through the fast-food restaurant around 7:30 this morning, damaging the plate-glass windows and part of the building facade, Saddle Brook Deputy Police Chief Robert White told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

None of the customers or workers inside were hurt, nor was the driver, White said.

However, the vehicle had to be dislodged from the building and towed by Rochelle Park Auto Body.
