Monica Mogg, 50, expressed little emotion during the brief hearing this morning. She was quickly returned to the Bergen County Jail, where she remains held on $3 million bail.
Prosecutors said Mogg shot and stabbed Arthur Noeldechan, 52, and 42-year-old Jung Yi Kim inside Kim’s River Edge home in late October 2012 after stalking them for months.

Kim, who owned the home, was “involved in a dating relationship” with Noeldechen, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said at the time.
Noeldechen dated Mogg when both lived in Morganville, NY, the prosecutor said.
Mogg, who’d moved to Newburgh, NY, drove to the Millbrook Road residence and entered the house through an unlocked rear door armed with a a Ruger 10 .22-caliber rifle and a knife, Molinelli said.
Once upstairs, she then shot and killed Noeldechan, the prosecutor said.
Kim was stabbed to death during a struggle, he said.
River Edge police found the bodies in an upstairs bedroom the next day after getting a call requesting a welfare check.
Mogg, who had emotional issues, was tracked down by police and detained in Rocky Hill, CT after “having been reported missing by family members,” Molinelli said.
Detectives from Molinelli’s office and the Connecticut State Police subsequently interviewed her, after which she was charged with the murders.
A grand jury in Hackensack indicted Mogg four months ago on 11 counts:
- murdering Arthur Noeldchen;
- murdering Lillian Kim;
- felony murder for killing both after breaking in;
- breaking and entering;
- four illegal weapons possession counts;
- concealing the rifle and knife “to hinder apprehension and prosecution”
