Cops: He fondled girl

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A Lodi mechanic fondled a girl various times before investigators arrested him, authorities said. Ricky M. Persaud, who is 45 and married, is charged with sexual assault, criminal sexual contact and child endangerment.

Persaud didn’t have intercourse with the minor but did commit other acts made criminal by the girl’s age over a 6-month period, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

For that, he is being held on $200,000 cash bail at the Bergen County Jail, pending a court hearing Tuesday afternoon in Hackensack.
