Christopher J. Greig, a 35-year-old dishwasher, has a rap sheet that includes several arrests for stalking and/or harassment charges in several Bergen County towns, as well as others for aggravated assault with a weapon, making terroristic threats, resisting arrest and witness tampering, records show.

Authorities last year accused Greig of private messaging the the then-52-year-old married mother on Facebook after spotting her in a store.

Greig took a plea deal from prosecutors and was sentenced in January to 18 months in state prison.

He was paroled from Bayside State Prison in Leesburg on June 23, records show.

On Aug. 23, authorities said, Greig began stalking the woman again, through a series of “anonymous, alarming phone calls [that] contained no caller ID information,” Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Friday.

The 6-foot-2-inch, 180-pound ex-con “utilized technology to block his caller ID information while placing these calls to the victim,” the prosecutor said.

Greig, who was arrested Thursday in Glen Rock, remained held in the Bergen County Jail on Friday pending a Dec. 20 first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court on charges of stalking, harassment and violating a restraining order.
