Closter police free worker after noodle press crushes fingers

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Closter police this morning freed a 20-year-old West New York man who got his hand caught in a noodle press — crushing three fingers to the knuckle — at a local restaurant this morning.

Officers quickly disconnected the machine at the Ewha Won Noodle House on Piermont Road, disassembled it and used a pry bar to dislodge the victim’s fingers after responding just before 11 a.m., Detective VIncent Aiello told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

They then wrapped his hand and kept him calm until EMS workers arrived and took him to HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley in Westwood, where he was in stable condition.
