Catering boss kept deductions, left worker with $20G in medical bills, authorities say

An employee of a Saddle Brook catering business ran up nearly $20,000 in medical bills having twins, but there was an awful catch: The boss pocketed his workers’ health insurance payments, and their coverage lapsed, authorities said.

Arnold Feldman

Arnold Feldman, the 61-year-old owner of “Taste for All Seasons” on Midland Avenue, had a chance to make good but didn’t, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

The employees, who regularly had their money toward their premiums deducted from their paychecks, were left with massive medical bills.

 


Feldman, who is married and lives in Fairfield, was arrested Thursday on theft charges. He was released without bail pending an Aug. 4 court appearance in Hackensack.
