Car slams head-on into Ridgewood tree

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: A motorist whose car slammed head-on into a tree in Ridgewood was taken to Hackensack University Hospital late last night.

Ridgewood police, firefighters and EMS units responded to the crash on Fairfield Avenue near Oxford Place in Ridgewood.

EMS workers, assisted by paramedics from The Valley Hospital, worked to stabilize the victim on scene prior to transport.

The driver’s white Nissan Sentra was removed by flatbed tow truck.
