Jonathan Malave, 31, was being held on $250,000 bail, charged with sexual assault and criminal sexual contact after being arrested at his Towaco home yesterday.

Malave, who is unemployed, was working as a service technician when he “engaged in inappropriate sexual activity” with the Ridgefield Park woman in her home in July 2014 and with the Fairview woman in her home a month later, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this afternoon.

“The second victim recently contacted the Fairview Police Department and reported to them what had occurred,” Molinelli said.

They, in turn, contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, and an investigator from that unit, along with a Fairview detective, interviewed her, he said.

She “described to them in greater detail what had occurred,” the prosecutor said.

Malave was arraigned earlier today in Hackensack.

Two years ago he was living in Belleville and working as a cable repair subcontractor when a 32-year-old Stony Point woman told police he sexually assaulted her on a call — first kissing and then reaching down and touching her.
