Boy stabs mom’s ex-boyfriend when he refuses to leave their house

CLIFFVIEW PILOT HAS IT FIRST: A 47-year-old Dumont man is clinging to life after he was stabbed by his ex-girlfriend’s 17-year-old son, apparently after he refused to leave their Paramus house, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

Michael King came to the Edstan Way home in Paramus around 6:15 Monday night and refused to go, Molinelli said. The boy, whose mother wasn’t home, then grabbed a knife and stabbed King several times in the neck and stomach, he said.

King remains in critical condition at Hackensack University Medical Center following surgery, Molinelli said.

Paramus police recovered the knife and took the teenager into custody. He was later released to his mother’s custody and will have a hearing in the Family Court part of Superior Court in Hackensack on delinquency complaints of aggravated assault and illegal weapons possession.
