George Billak reduced his potential sentence by pleading guilty to child endangerment before he could be indicted.

Authorities offered the deal to avoid “putting a jury through descriptions of depravity,” Assistant Bergen County Prosecutor Brian Sinclair said.

Billak, who lives in Camden County and worked a network administrator for a retirement home, was arrested last December after a long exchange of messages with the undercover investigator.

“He not only fantasized and elaborated on [his] fantasies over time,” Sinclair said. “[H]e also planned out how he would cover up his crimes so he could get away with it.”

Asked later about the images, the prosecutor told CLIFFVIEW PILOT that they were “too disgusting to talk about.”

One of them, according to Billak’s statement to authorities, showed a girl about the age of 12 inserting items “into various orifices.”

The sentence includes Megan’s Law registration and lifetime parole after Billak’s release from prison — which includes the possibility of having to wear a monitoring bracelet, Superior Court Judge James J. Guida said.

“As the law stands now, you can file to be removed from Megan’s Law after 15 years, and may or may not succeed,” the judge told him. “But that is no guarantee. The law could change in 15 years.”
