Bergen sheriff’s raid nets 5 arrests, cocaine, pot

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A series of undercover buys by detectives from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office led to a raid on a Moonachie home that produced a pound and a half of marijuana, a gram of cocaine and the arrests of five people.

Diane Sam, 49 (above, left), and her son, Steven, 27 (right), were taken into custody along with Lodi resident Shawn Space, 21, Joshua Zaborowski, 20, of Moonachie and 19-year-old Laura Meeker of Netcong during a 3 p.m. raid on East Sixth Street yesterday that included Moonachie and Hackensack police, Bergen County Sheriff Michael Saudino said this afternoon.

Charges resulting from the two-month investigation include marijuana and cocaine possession with the intent to distribute the drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a nuisance.

Steven Sam was being held on $50,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.

The other four were released on court summonses.
