Quashawn Nowlin of Lehigh Street was arrested yesterday by detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit and Teaneck police, county Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this morning.

Molinelli said the victim told her sister, who then alerted the girl’s mother. She, in turn, contacted the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), which  notified the Special Victims Unit, the prosecutor said.

Nowlin, who Mollinelli said is single and unemployed, was being held on $300,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment. He’s due in Teaneck Municipal Court tomorrow.
