Strohmeyer (above, right), of Rochelle Park, directs a team that focuses on the availability, affordability and quality of early child care and education, Bergen County Executive Kathleen Donovan said this afternoon.
The Office for Children coordinates and strengthens child care services for low-income families and child care providers in the county.
NJACCRRA President Rebekka Zydel praised Strohmeyer’s commitment and dedication to the goals and success of the organization.
“Phyllis could have taken a back seat, letting more seasoned members take on leadership roles but she chose to immerse herself in the work and help advance the efforts of child care resource and referral in New Jersey,” said Zydel (above, left).
However, she said, “we are a stronger organization because of her leadership.”
