The most accomplished of the group, 18-year-old Dejon Harrison of Englewood (above: top row), was a versatile star for the Paramus Catholic High School football team as just a junior this past season — rushing and receiving for a combined 589 yards and seven touchdowns. He also punted for the team.

The trouble began with a melee Thursday night in Votee Park that police said involved 30 or so people, some armed with baseball bats or aluminum pipes and another a tree branch.

Teaneck Lt. Andrew McGurr said a victim was taken to Holy Name Medical Center with a gash on his head.

Two hours later, the brawl re-ignited near the corner of Cedar Lane and River Road, McGurr said.

The victim’s vehicle was boxed in by three others before Harrison and four friends — two of them adults — began smashing it with baseball bats, the lieutenant said.

Harrison, Vernon Lincoln, 19, and 18-year-old Tyree Bryant were charged with rioting, criminal mischief and criminal restraint.

Juveniles complaints involving the same offenses were signed against two juveniles who police said was in one car with Harrison and the others.

The Votee Park brawl led to rioting and weapons possession charges against Davant Locadia, Christopher Tawadros, and Rory Freckleton Jr., all 18 of Teaneck; Alexander Cordova, 26, and Davane Connell, 18, both of Hackensack, and 18-year-old Arie McCray of Fair Lawn.

Although they were booked, all of the adults were released on summones without bail. Four juveniles were released to their parents or guardians.

Locadia, 18 (below: bottom row, second from right), played varsity football had 41 catches and six touchdowns, with an average of more than 13 yards per catch. He also played defensive back.

After just about each touchdown, Locadia ran to the nearest referee and handed him the football. He also played varsity basketball.

Arie McCray, 18, of Fair Lawn (below: middle row, second from right), was a bench player for Fair Lawn High School’s basketball team and ran track at the school.

Tyree Bryant, 18 (middle row, first) was on the Dwight Morrow High School football team, although he didn’t see much action.
