Bergen County Sheriff Holding Free Pet Emergency Training

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The likelihood that you and your pets will survive a fire, flood, tornado or even a terrorist attack depends on how equipped you all are to handle them, says Bergen County Sheriff Michael Saudino, who is offering free preparedness courses beginning next month.

"Join us in learning how to prepare your animals for disasters, as well as learn animal behaviors in everyday life," Saudino said.

The classes begin at 7 p.m. Feb. 1 in the amphitheater of the Bergen County Jail at 160 South River Street (see list of dates and times, above).

All are welcome.
