The Chester Street resident had left his home but circled back around and found the pair on his property, Detective Sgt. Brian Metzler said this morning.

Officers responding to the 7:14 a.m. call were given a fake name by the adult, who claimed to be 17 but was later identified as Felix Rodriguez, Metzler said.

Rodriguez was being held on $35,000 bail at Fair Lawn police headquarters pending transfer to the Bergen County Jail on charges of burglary, theft and giving false information to police.

Juvenile complaints that will be heard in the Family Part of Superior Court in Hackensack were being signed against the other teen for burglary, theft and trespassing. He was then released to an adult, Metzler said.
