The 2005 Ford Explorer, operated by a 47-year-old Fair Lawn woman, was headed east on Broadway near 34th Street when it struck the bus, whose driver had stopped on the shoulder to load and unload passengers just before 9 a.m., Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

The Explorer driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with a neck injury, he said.

The 56-year-old male bus driver from Paterson was taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center with neck and back injuries, Metzler said.

Four of the bus passengers were taken to HUMC and three to St. Joe’s, the sergeant said.

None of the injuries was considered life-threatening, he said.

Both vehicles were towed.

Police were investigating.
