The eight burglaries apparently began around 11:45 p.m. Friday and continued through 5:30 a.m. the next morning, Police Chief Robert Flannelly said.
All of the vehicles were in their driveways.
“Some vehicles had nothing taken, others had GPS units, assorted change and cash stolen, along with tools and a nail gun,” Flannelly said.
While his detectives investigate, Flannelly urged residents to lock their vehicles.
Very few thieves will go through the trouble of trying to break into a locked car. They will simply move on to the next car, and the next, the chief said.
