A Newark man who robbed two people at gunpoint before killing one of them on New Year's Eve 2023 has been sentenced to 100 years in prison, authorities said. A suspected swatting call prompted a large police response at Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood on Tuesday morning, July 7, authorities said. At 9:41 p.m. on Friday, July 3, troopers received a report of a missing person, Jason Blanco, a 19-year-old Flemington resident, on the Delaware River in Alexandria Township, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
