Englewood police were called just before 2 a.m. to the Elks Lodge on Bennett Road, where they said they found the bloodied victim amid glass shards.

Her injuries included a broken nose, several bruises and a cut on her neck where she’d been stabbed with a broken champagne glass, they said.

The woman — who turned 36 earlier this month — needed 70 stitches, Detective Capt. Timothy Torell said at the time.

“Anytime someone is stabbed in the neck, there is a potential for the case to end up as a homicide,” Torell said. “The victim was extremely fortunate, all things considered.”

By 5 p.m. New Year’s Day, Detectives Michael Hargrave and Chris Kedersha had located and arrested their primary suspect: 23-year-old Porsche Brown (above, left), who Torell said had stabbed the victim in the neck while the four others beat and stomped on her.

Also arrested at the Englewood residence was Brown’s mother, Roneicka Hooks, 42 (above, bottom right).

Brown’s father, 43-year-old William “Juggie” Brown, was arrested a week later in Englewood and also charged with aggravated assault.

The final fugitive — Dajshae Huggins, 21 — turned herself in the end of the month.

Huggins (above, top right) is Hooks’ daughter, police said.

All five defendants remain free on bail — including Porsche Brown at $100,000 bail and Hooks, Brown and Huggins at $75,000 each, records show.

Troi Dixon, 21 (middle), the only one of the five not related to the others, surrendered to police on Jan. 22 and was released on $75,000 bail three days later.

All five are officially charged in the indictment with “attempted serious bodily injury, or knowingly caused serious bodily injury,” showing “manifest indifference to the value of human life.”

In addition, Porsche and William Brown are charged with weapons possession — the shattered champagne glass.
