A week-long undercover investigation led to raids of shops four shops in Edgewater, two in Fairview and one each in Little Ferry, River Edge, South Hackensack, Tenafly and Wyckoff, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Friday afternoon.
Participating in the Quality of Life/Human Trafficking task force led by Grewal's Special Investigations Squad were Bergen County Sheriff's officers and federal I.C.E. agents.
Undercover detectives were solicited for sex in exchange for money by female employees of several massage parlors, the prosecutor said.
These included four in Edgewater: River Spa on Dempsey Avenue and Jade Spa, Aqua Blue Spa and World Health Spa, all on River Road.
In Fairview: Aztec Spa and Aroma Spa, both on Bergen Boulevard.
