MAYWOOD, N.J. – Joseph J. Connors, a resident of Maywood, died Thursday, June 30. He was 85.
He worked for The New York Times for 43 years as a mailroom production manager before retiring in 1992. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy who served during the Korean War.
He is survived by his children, Michael J. Connors and his wife Lisa, Joseph J. Connors Jr. and his wife Debbie, and Patricia Angeli and her husband Rich; grandchildren Jessica, Angela, Joanna and Colin Joseph Connors; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia; and siblings Joan Hurley, Marie Schmidt, John Connors and Albert Connors.
The funeral will be Wednesday, July 6, at 9:30 a.m. at Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, 439 Maywood Ave., Maywood. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 12 Terrace Ave., Rochelle Park. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
