James J. Rendine Sr., 93, Of Rochelle Park

ROCHELLE PARK, N.J. – James J. Rendine Sr., a resident of Rochelle Park, died Thursday, March 3. He was 93.

Prior to retiring, he worked in sales at Link Radio Company in New York. He also worked for Interstate and Holmes trucking companies in New Jersey. In addition, Rendine served his country during World War II in the U.S. Naval Seabees Battalion, and was a life member of the American Legion Post #170 of Rochelle Park. He also was a member of the Rochelle Park Zoning Board for 40 years and served as chairman for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Theresa; his children, Kathleen O’Shaughnessy and her husband George, of Milltown, Lisabeth Templeton and her husband Gene, of Raphine, Marie O’Day, and her husband Cliff, of Rochelle Park, Joyce Evens and her husband Tim, of Upper Montclair and James J. Rendine Jr. and his wife Donna, of Paramus. He also is survived by grandchildren, William, Jennifer, Tara, Kaitlin, Daniel, Patrick, Brooke, George, Michael, Thomas, James, and Joseph; great-grandson Parker; and sister Rose Lamonica, of Oceanside.

The funeral will be at 9:45 a.m. Monday at G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Service, 397 Union St., Hackensack followed by a  Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Cremation to follow at the Cedar Lawn Crematory.

The family will receive friends and family from 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
