New Jersey Property Taxes Soar To Highest In Four Years

BERGEN COUNTY, N.J. — Property taxes in New Jersey are at their highest level in four years, and the latest hike is above the 2010 state-mandated 2 percent cap, reports nj.com.

This is the second year in a row taxes are up, and property owners paid an average of almost $200 a year more in 2014 than 2013, according to nj.com.

On Gov. Chris Christie’s presidential campaign website, he says property taxes are rising at their slowest pace in more than 20 years, says nj.com.
