HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Over the next two months, the federal Environmental Protection Agency will be studying pollution in the Hackensack River, to see if its bad enough to put make it a Superfund site, The Record has reported.
The EPA is studying the Hackensack River to see if it's polluted enough to be designated a Superfund site.

Parts of the Hudson and Passaic rivers already have the infamous designation, The Record reported. If the Hackensack is added, the agency would then develop a cleanup plan.
