Brown was diagnosed with diffuse large B cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in October. She has needed several infusions of both whole blood and platelets since treatment began. Brown has received two of six rounds of chemotherapy so far.

Brown moved to Rochelle Park when she was 11, moved away for a short period after getting married and then returned in 1979 to raise a family. Her children all attended Midland School and Hackensack High School. Her husband, Dave, is a life member of the Rochelle Park Fire Department, along with sons Dave and Jason.

Annemarie Picone Wells worked with the town of Rochelle Park to set up the drive.

To schedule in appointment, call 201-251-3703. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred.

Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds and should eat before donation.

The drive takes place from 2-8 p.m. The Rochelle Park Municipal Complex is at 151 Passaic St.
