Small-Electronics Recycling Benefits Bergen Habitat For Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County is working with Planet Green Recycle to encourage people to recycle unused small electronics and benefit Habitat's programs at the same time.

Planet Green donates to Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County for items sent in or dropped off for recycling. Items they're looking for include unneeded calculators, empty printer ink cartridges, cellphones, MP3 players and more.

So far, a little more than $385 has been raised through the effort. To donate, you can send in your items using free shipping labels available on the Planet Green website.

Items can also be dropped off at Habitat for Humanity's office, 690 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. Other locations for drop off are Indian Hills High School, 97 Yawpo Ave., Oakland; and Ramapo High School, 331 George St., Franklin Lakes.
