The desk attendant told Daily Voice that the suicidal singer — who last week released a heartbreaking video revealing she was staying at the motel — left last Wednesday on foot looking happy, and got into a vehicle near Route 46.
Even so, dozens of reporters including those from Inside Edition and the New York Post anxiously awaited her return in the parking lot.
Several supporters stopped by, including Hackensack rapper Shanell “Lady Luck” Jones.
Jones was so touched by O'Connor's heartbreaking video that she offered to pay for her room for the week.
But desk attendants informed her O'Connor had already left.
"I just felt compelled to try to help out," Jones said. "Her song 'Nothing Compares 2 U' is in my playlist right now so my heart goes out to her."
