Teterboro Aviation Museum Salutes Vets With Regional Ceremony

TETERBORO, N.J. -- In recognition of Veterans Day, the New Jersey Aviation Hall of Fame and Museum will conduct a regional ceremony honoring all Veterans and those on active duty at Teterboro Airport on Sunday, Nov. 8.

The ceremony will be held in the museum's parking lot at Teterboro Airport, 400 Fred Wehran Drive, located next to the FAA tower -- and will be moved indoors if it rains.

The brief program, beginning at 11 a.m. will consist of several Honor Guards presenting the colors with a Drum Line from the Hasbrouck Heights High School Band.

Among the patriotic songs that sung by the members of the Wood-Ridge Jr./Sr. High School Glee Club: “Star Spangled Banner,” “My County ‘Tis of Thee,” “Amazing Grace” and “God Bless America.”

Wood-Ridge Firefighter Elizabeth Ferry will play "Taps.”

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 800 will provide the 21 Gun Salute.

The Civil Air Patrol Cadets will support the ceremony as well.

The keynote speaker is Stew Golding, who flew 50 combat missions in the European Theater as a radio operator in a B-26 Marauder Medium Bomber.

Retired West Milford Fire Department Firefighter/Fire Department Chaplain Ralph Villecca will provide the Invocation and Benediction. Additionally, FF Villecca will provide a 9-11 Memorial Rememberance.

The public is invited.

Parking will be available in the nearby Dassault Falcon Jet lot, with a jitney bus transport to the Museum. Handicap parking is available.
