Bergen Leaders In Hackensack Shine Purple Light For Recovery

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Celebrate the gains made by those in recovery at a Hackensack event on Tuesday, Nov. 1.Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Freeholders invite the public to the 2016 "Light the Night for Recovery" at 6:30 p.m. in the Freeholder Room, 5th floor, One Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack.

This event is to celebrate and inspire recovery for those who suffer from addiction and mental illness.

Anyone who has lost a loved one can bring photos or written words for the Memorial Quilt.

The observance is intended to reinforce the message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

Attendees are asked to wear purple, the color of recovery.
