A car stolen from New Jersey went up in flames after crashing in Northern Westchester, NY, early Sunday morning, but when first responders arrived, the driver was nowhere to be found, fire officials said.
The crash happened on Route 202, also known as the Goat Trail, in Cortlandt on Sunday morning, Sept. 20, according to the Continental Village Fire Department.

An Amtrak construction crew accidentally cut a fiber line in New Jersey, triggering a telecommunications outage that forced the FAA to halt flights at five major Northeast airports Monday, Sept. 21, federal officials said.

4 Kids Found Inside Ramapo HS With Toy Rifle After Stealing School Vehicle: Police
Four juveniles, including one carrying a toy rifle that resembled a real firearm, were taken into custody after breaking into Ramapo High School and stealing a school vehicle, police said.
Officers responded to Ramapo High School at 331 George St. in Franklin Lakes on Monday, Sept. 21, at 1:33 a.m., after school security reported several people walking through the hallways, Franklin Lakes Police Capt. Robert Grassi said. One appeared to be carrying a firearm, Grassi said.

Runner Collapses In Cardiac Arrest During 5K In Bergen County, Saved By Responders
A 74-year-old runner went into cardiac arrest during the Haworth 5K before first responders used an AED to help save his life, authorities said.
Sgt. Gianluca Ragone saw the man collapse while running on Haworth Avenue on Saturday, Sept. 19, and immediately called for emergency medical assistance, according to Lt. Justin Fox.
Fox, Ragone, D/Sgt. James Morgan, Demarest firefighter and Special Police Officer Matthew Carey, and members of the Haworth Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded.
The runner was unresponsive, not breathing, and in cardiac arrest, Fox said.
