Officer Matthew Bartlett responded to the Super 8 on Washington Avenue just north of Route 120 after the woman’s cell phone was traced there, Acting Police Chief Thomas Cox said on Monday, Feb. 13. A man said to have been the former spouse of the property owner apparently found the bodies of Nancy Marie Jocks and her daughter, Alexis O'Boyle of Woodland Park, in the rented unit off southbound Route 17 just past Route 120, barely two miles from MetLife Stadium. A sedan driven by Alysha Menzies apparently slammed into the back of a flatbed tow truck on westbound Route 3 near Route 120 in East Rutherford shortly after 4 a.m. Friday, May 6, responders said.
