: 'Chopped' Kosher Chef Jailed On New Child Sex Assault Charges Out Of Teaneck
A kosher chef from Teaneck who appeared on the Food Network show "Chopped” was jailed after a grand jury in Hackensack indicted him on charges of sexually assaulting a child. Shalom "Sal" Yehudiel, 41, was arrested at JFK Airport last month when authorities said he tried to flee the country. He'd only just had previous child sex assault charges against him dismissed by a judge in Hackensack at the time. Kosher Bergen Chef Arrested At JFK Airport Days After Sex Assault Charges Dismissed: Officials
Just days after a judge dismissed charges against him, Bergen County kosher chef Shalom "Sal" Yehudiel was arrested again on similar, new ones, authorities said. Shalom "Sal" Yehudiel, 41, was arrested at Terminal One of JFK Airport on Tuesday, Aug. 8, Port Authority Spokesperson Lenis Valens said. ID Theft: $400,000 Stolen From Hillsdale Retiree, Out-Of-State Duo Charged
Two members of an interstate identity theft ring – one of them a 79-year-old old woman who lives in North Carolina -- helped steal $400,000 from a Hillsdale retiree, authorities said. Richard C. Okorie, 42, of Missouri City, TX, and Barbara Lynn Alexander of Graham, NC, were arrested following an investigation by borough police investigated, with support from the Bergen County prosecutor’s Financial Crimes Unit and several other agencies in three states, Hillsdale Police Chief Robert Francaviglia said.
