Paramus Road Overpass Reopens
Motorists rejoice: The Paramus Road overpass has reopened. The structure over Route 4 was shut for 16 days for demolition and reconstruction -- a project by The New Jersey Department of Transportation. The overpass reopened Sunday, June 16.

Lane Closures Planned On I-80 In Morris County Saturday Night
Lanes on I-80 in Rockaway, Roxbury and Jefferson will be closed overnight this weekend as part of the first phase of a bridge replacement project, the state Department of Transportation said. One lane eastbound will be closed beginning at 8 p.m. and a second at 10 p.m. Later Saturday, a westbound lane will be closed, followed by a second westbound lane. When the lanes are reopened Sunday morning, traffic on both sides will be shifted to the right shoulder so as to maintain three lanes in both directions while work begins in the center of the roadway. BOGOTA, N.J. -- A Bogota firefighter was treated for a knee injury after he and his colleagues doused a Sunday morning house blaze with help from neighboring companies. "Crazy how things can be going so good then in the blink of an eye so bad," the injured firefighter posted on Facebook Sunday afternoon. Firefighters: New Two-Way Street Makes Hackensack Safer
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- It was meant to help Hackensack's businesses, but the conversion of State Street into a two-way has helped make the city safer, responders said. "Companies now can make a left hand turn out of headquarters due to the conversion of State Street into a 2-way," the Hackensack Fire Department said.
