A crazed driver repeatedly rammed a Hackensack police vehicle before the officer inside hopped out and subdued him on Thursday, authorities confirmed. Officer Panagiotis Seretis was responding to assist another officer with his emergency lights and sirens activated near the corner of Main and Salem streets around 10:30 a.m. Feb. 16 when he signaled Yves Davilmar Jr. to pull his Ford Explorer over and let him by, Capt. Hackensack Man Stabbed In Back On City Street, Assailants Flee
A 35-year-old man was stabbed in the back overnight Sunday on a Hackensack street. The city resident was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with a wound that wasn't considered life-threatening after being stabbed on Salem Street, around the corner from police headquarters, shortly after 1:30 a.m. Dec. 18, Capt. DWI Driver Jailed After Hackensack Police Pursuit Ends In Crash
An Ecuadoran national was drunk when he crashed his Jeep into a traffic signal during a pre-dawn police chase in Hackensack and then took off on foot before dawn Monday, authorities said. Segundo Tapia-Yunganaula, 24, who lives in Hackensack, was speeding down Linden Street when Sgt. Richard Melber tried to stop him shortly after 2 a.m., Detective Lt. Michael Antista said.
