Authorities Probe Where, Why, How Brooklyn Man Who Showed Up At Passaic Hospital Was Shot
A Brooklyn man turned up in a Passaic hospital with a gunshot wound, said authorities who were trying to determine where, why and how he was shot. The 21-year-old gunshot victim was brought by private vehicle to St. Mary’s General Hospital shortly before 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman said in a joint release. He was later transferred to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson with what they said was a non-fatal wound. A 49-year-old Passaic pedestrian who was critically injured by a hit-and-run driver died of his injuries, authorities said. Charges against whoever was responsible will include death by auto (vehicular homicide) following the death of Paresh Rana. Rana died Tuesday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman announced on Thursday. Belleville Man Hospitalized In Paterson Shooting, Prosecutor Says
A 31-year-old Belleville man was hospitalized after a Paterson shooting Saturday, authorities said. Police responded to Nagle Street around 1:20 a.m. where the man was found with a non-fatal gunshot wound, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald said. He was taken to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment, police said. The investigation remains active and ongoing. Accused Shooter Of Clifton Man Was Actually Caught Soon After, Authorities Reveal
An 18-year-old Clifton man who was shot in the leg on Wednesday was a robbery victim, said authorities who revealed on Friday that they made an arrest the same day. Michael Rodriguez, 21, of Paterson shot the victim in the area of 44 Macdonald Street in Clifton just after 7 p.m. Wednesday, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. PATERSON, N.J. -- Authorities Sunday afternoon confirmed the death of a 41-year-old Paterson police officer in a crash earlier in the day. Tamby Yagan, a 15-year department veteran, was killed in the 10:50 a.m. crash at 150 Getty Avenue, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.
